At the heart of BIG's corporate culture is a commitment to values that matter most: family, community service, and charitable giving. This ethos came to life during our recent volunteer day at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, where our team worked together to bring holiday magic to families facing difficult times.
Our 22 volunteers, including employees and their families, dedicated the day to creating a warm, festive atmosphere. Together, we organized toys to ensure children would receive thoughtful surprises throughout the season, decorated the house with holiday lights, wreaths, and trees to spread cheer, and served a delicious lunch for the families staying there. Each task, whether small or large, was done with a shared sense of purpose and heart.
The impact of our efforts was immediate and heartfelt. Elisabet, a courageous 11-year-old with severe spina bifida, beamed with joy at the beautifully transformed space, declaring her love for Christmas. Kenzie, another young guest, couldn’t contain her excitement when she saw the decorations as she stepped off the elevator.
Beyond the decorations and the food, it was the human connection that truly mattered. Volunteers showed teamwork, initiative, and compassion at every turn. The camaraderie of our group created an atmosphere of positivity that left a lasting impression on the families and staff.
As a company, we’re proud to embody the words of Mahatma Gandhi: "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference—one small act of kindness at a time.
This holiday season, let’s celebrate gratitude, cherish our loved ones, and remember that service is the most powerful way to spread hope.
